Melanie Szawara believes in service and volunteer work and giving back to the community. She serves the Dexter Community as a Vice President on the Board of Education for Dexter Community Schools and representing Mill Creek middle school athletics on Athletic Booster Club of Dexter. She has also served in past roles as Dexter Community Fund (secretary), Dexter Wrestling Club (president) and the Rotary Club of Dexter.
