Melanie Szawara believes in service and volunteer work. She serves the Dexter Community with the Dexter Rotary Club; as a trustee on the Board of Education for Dexter Community Schools and in past roles as Dexter Community Fund (secretary), Dexter Wrestling Club (president) .
